separated the combatants at game's end. The Tampico Stogies won by the
slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.
The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings. Tampico was victorious in the
10th inning. Carl Everett delivered a one-base hit. Two outs later Ray
Durham came to the plate and laced a base-hit. Juan Encarnacion then
delivered a single making Tampico victorious to the delight of the the home
town crowd. Tampico managed 9 in their victory.
Jason Frasor(3-2) went 2/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the win. Juan
Rincon(11-6) was hit with the loss in relief. He allowed 1 run and 3 hits in
1 and 2/3 innings.
